Lee Sailor, Chief Financial Officer

In his Finance and Administration role, Lee Sailor is responsible for all of Contour’s finance, accounting, administration, and IT functions. Previously, Lee was an independent CFO working with multiple venture capital and private equity portfolio companies including Superprotonic, Inc., a startup developing fuel cell technology. Additionally, he has been both a CFO and COO for manufacturing, government contracting, consumer product, direct to consumer fulfillment, and retail companies. Lee received his undergraduate degree in Marketing from the University of Colorado and his MBA in Corporate Finance from the University of Southern California.

Dr. Simon Jones - Vice President, Technology

In his role as Vice President, Technology, Dr. Jones oversees the R&D effort in both Lithium Primary and Advanced Rechargeable technologies. In addition, Dr. Jones works closely with our partners at universities, national laboratories and other institutions for the licensing and development of other advanced battery technologies and platforms. Dr Jones received a D. Phil in Chemistry from the University of Oxford, UK, and is the author of over 30 scientific publications. He has over ten years experience in materials research for emerging technologies, including electrochemistry, organic electronics and nanotechnology.

Joe Carcone - Vice President, Sales and Marketing

In his role as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Joe will be responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies targeting direct OEM and retail sales. Leveraging his considerable industry experience with Bell Labs, GE, SANYO Energy USA and PowerGenix, his charter is to expand worldwide market penetration for newly developed products from Contour Energy Systems. Joe started his career with Bell Labs performing engineering work for terrestrial and aerospace battery systems. With GE, he worked in the rechargeable battery business. For over 20 years, Carcone was responsible for sales and marketing for North and South American Operations with SANYO Energy USA. Prior to joining Contour, he was vice president of marketing and sales at PowerGenix, a venture start up company specializing in nickel zinc rechargeable batteries. He holds a BS in electrical engineering and an MS in operations research from Rutgers University.

Simon Lee-Overy - European Managing Director

ISimon Lee-Overy is the European Managing Director, responsible for all aspects of operations, sales and marketing within the retail and OEM market sectors. Before joining Contour Simon ran his own international company that designed and supplied aftermarket, industrial batteries and consumer portable power devices into the OEM and high street retailers within Europe. Additionally, Simon worked for Valence Technology with the responsibility of key European customers commercialising large format lithium iron magnesium phosphate batteries within the EV and PHEV sector. Prior to this Simon had a 15 year career with Energizer Power Systems, managing major global accounts within Europe, such as Motorola, Black & Decker & Makita. Simon has many years experience working with some of the top Chinese and Taiwanese cell and battery pack manufacturing companies, with fast “first to market” NPD strategies within the innovative consumer portable power sector. He was responsible for many “go to market” product programs within the fast paced high street retail sector, B2C and large format modular Lithium-Ion solutions arena.  Simon is a Fellow member of The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and studied Mechanical Engineering at Telford College of Technology.
